Metallic Crown has posted several impressive results this time in and will be seeking a third-consecutive success at Rosehill on Saturday after being included in 2015 Stan Fox Stakes nominations.

Yet to finish outside the places through four career starts, Metallic Crown broke through for a maiden win in the TAB Place Multi Maiden (1300m) on August 26th before making a successful transition to black type racing in taking out the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) on September 5th.

Trainer Chris Waller is set to launch a two-pronged attack on the 2015 Stan Fox Stakes after also including Press Statement in nominations.

Press Statement jogged home to win each of his first two starts with complete ease, and franked his form when mustering a huge late turn of foot to take out the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m) at Doomben on June 6th.

Returning this time for a close second in the Group 2 Run To The Rose (1200m) on August 29th, Press Statement received a horror run in transit in the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) last star and only managed fifth.

Sure to relish a step-back in class this weekend, Press Statement will be tough to beat in the 2015 Stan Fox Stakes.

Shards was another runner who failed to make anything of an impact in the Golden Rose last start but has also been included in 2015 Stan Fox Stakes nominations.

Steadily building to the task upon debuting to racing in May, Shards posted a maiden race win in the TAB.com.au Handicap (1350m) on June 3oth before returning after a brief freshen-up for success in the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) on August 22nd.

Trainer John O’Shea was at odds as to why Shards failed to fire in the Golden Rose, but is confident of a return to competitive form in the Stan Fox Stakes.

Rageese was given little chance for success in the Golden Rose last time but was unlucky to finish just outside the first three following an impressive final straight sprint.

Stamping his claims as one to watch through the Sydney Autumn Carnival, Rageese ran second in the Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) on March 14th before an impressive performance for second in the Group 1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) on April 6th.

Having failed to fire when fourth in the Listed Rosebud (1200m) first-up this time, the Street Cry colt posted a maiden win in a Wyong minor over 1350m on August 30th in what was his only other start prior to the Golden Rose.

The 2015 Stan Fox Stakes final field and barrier draw is due to be completed and released by midday, Wednesday.
